Baxter is seeking an innovative and skilled Biomedical Systems Engineer who will be responsible for the design, development and integration of Baxter’s Medication Delivery portfolio. The successful Candidate will require a solid foundation in Biomedical engineering principles to include system design, obsolescence management and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will work closely with multi-functional teams, including clinical researchers, software developers, and quality assurance professionals, to build systems that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiencies. The candidate will demonstrate passion for their work and the impact it has on saving and sustaining the lives of patients. Responsibilities include conducting system engineering activities such as requirements development, solution design, verification and validation, risk management, and configuration management, ensuring alignment with relevant standards and patient safety needs. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components into a cohesive system, ensuring interoperability and performance in clinical environments. Interact with business and customer partners to understand their problems and needs, translating these into product functional and performance system requirements. Prepare user documentation including design specifications, test protocols, and validation reports to support regulatory submissions and project milestones. Identify and mitigate risks, collaborate with Human Factors Leads to conduct formative and summative testing. Develop and optimize data acquisition and analysis algorithms for embedded biomedical software applications. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance system development and deployment. Requirements include 5+ years experience in a Systems Engineer, Business Analyst, System Analyst or similar requirements definition role, Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred, above average verbal and written communication skills, skilled at leading meetings, conflict resolution, and making presentations, strategic problem solver with attention to detail, ability to work in absence of complete information and make timely, high quality decisions, experience in the medical device industry and FDA regulations preferred. Compensation includes an estimated base salary range of $104,000 - $143,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses.
