About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice Provost and Chief of Staff (SVP/PCS) to serve as a strategic partner to the Incoming Executive Vice President and Provost. This inaugural role is pivotal in providing high-level strategic leadership, serving as a trusted advisor, and integrative leader across academic and administrative units. The SVP/PCS will be responsible for driving key initiatives, facilitating decision-making, and ensuring alignment with the institution's priorities. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of leadership in fast-paced, mission-driven environments, with the ability to execute complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. They must possess financial acumen, a deep understanding of higher education culture and governance, and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. Exceptional judgment, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to navigate ambiguity and build trust across diverse constituencies. Candidates for the SVP/PCS role at the company should be advanced degree holders, with a terminal degree strongly preferred, and have significant leadership experience. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, action-oriented leader, and will be expected to anticipate needs, offer candid counsel, and drive institutional effectiveness with integrity and diplomacy.
