We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Cost Accountant to join our finance and operations team. This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the costs associated with the manufacturing and inventory processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting within a production or manufacturing environment, and experience with QuickBooks and Fishbowl Inventory systems is highly preferred.

• Analyze and maintain standard costs of production materials, labor, and overhead
  
   
• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, variances, and valuation across facilities
  
   
• Prepare cost of goods sold (COGS) reports and margin analysis to support pricing and profitability decisions
  
   
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify inefficiencies and suggest cost-saving measures
  
   
• Assist with monthly and year-end inventory counts and reconciliations
  
   
• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks and Fishbowl, ensuring data integrity between systems
  
   
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing operations
  
   
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in external audits as needed
  
   

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  
   
• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  
   
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) principles
  
   
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with Fishbowl Inventory software are a plus
  
   
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
  
   
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  
   
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
  
   

• Experience with inventory audits and reconciliation processes
  
   
• Familiarity with drones, electronics manufacturing, or hardware production a plus
  
   
• ERP or MRP system implementation or integration experience
