All candidates will be considered after program eligibility is determined** NAACP (NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLORED PEOPLE) Job Title: Office Assistant (Entry-Level) Location: North Rancho Drive and West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89130 Job Type: $17.00 per hour | Part-Time, 25hrs per week (some weekends are required) Account Manager: Jenelle Berrien Overview: The NAACP Las Vegas Branch is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in an office setting while contributing to meaningful work in the community. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and capable of assisting with day-to day administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate staff
• Greet and assist visitors in a professional manner
• Maintain and organize office files, both physical and digital
• Manage office supplies, ensuring stock is replenished as needed
• Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and taking notes during

meetings

• Support event planning and logistics
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and other communications
• Perform data entry and maintain databases as needed
• General meetings support every 3rd Saturday of the month
• Other administrative duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently or as part of a team
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in an office setting is a plus but not required
