CES/AWS is looking for a Mold Maker


Job Type: Full-Time | Temp to Hire
Location: Winchester, TN
Salary: $25 - $28 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: 6:30am - 3pm. Overtime and weekends as required


Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mold Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation, assembly, and finishing of precision mold components. This role supports key manufacturing operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and meeting customer deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:
Daily Tasks:

• Build and fabricate mold components: rough-out, detailed part production, inspections, and documentation
• Fit and assemble molds: transfer holes, size components, install systems, and spot molds
• Finish and polish molding surfaces using hand tools and visual inspection
• Repair molds and models used in mass production
• Use specialized tools to measure and check in-process work
• Communicate tooling issues and maintain clean, organized workstations
• Ensure shift continuity through proper documentation and communication

Regular Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings and process documentation
• Operate conventional machinery: saws, drills, grinders, lathes, mills
• Use overhead cranes (up to 50,000 lbs) and forklifts (up to 5,000 lbs) for mold transport
• Follow all customer tooling standards and internal lean manufacturing guidelines
• Adhere to all safety policies, regulations, and cleanliness standards
• Attend required meetings and training sessions

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of mold making experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work under pressure
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective time management and task prioritization
