The Education Leadership Programs, offer graduate degrees (EdD & MEd) and administrator certificates (Principal & Superintendent) at our Bellingham campus, the greater Puget Sound distance learning and online in British Columbia.

In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer quarter, applications are accepted continuously for temporary non-tenure track teaching positions on a part time basis.  Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.

About the Position

The Education Leadership programs value teaching, ask applicants to be a practicing educational leader, to actively engage students in their own learning including discussion, writing, and analysis, setting high standards regarding course content, and we strive to have our students become strong educational leaders.   In addition to possible recruitment/advising of students, there may be teaching opportunities in the following areas:

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in Education Leadership or related field by time of appointment.  Terminal degree for doctoral program courses
  • Evidence of successful teaching with adult learners
  • Record of relevant professional involvement
  • Evidence of successful public P-12 administrative leadership experience
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Experience in P-12 settings with diverse populations
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to cultivating learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in Education Leadership or related field by time of appointment
  • Knowledge of P-12 administrative structures
  • Familiarity with Washington State Administrator Preparation Standards
