DIESEL MECHANIC – TOOLS REQUIRED
WE ARE CURRENTLY IN SEARCH OF SELF DRIVEN DIESEL MECHANIC TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN CHESAPEAKE, SUPPORTING OUR GROWING FLEET OF TRUCKS AND CHASSIS AND ALSO CUSTOMER BASED TRUCKS AND CHASSIS. THE IDEAL APPLICANT NEEDS A STRONG BACKGROUND IN DIESEL EQUIPMENT AND OPERATIONS OF TRACTOR TRAILERS.
AS A MECHANIC, YOU WILL:
*MAINTAIN A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
*DIAGONOSE AND REPAIR OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES TO DOT STANDARDS WITH TRUCKS AND CHASSIS
*PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ON TRACTORS, TRAILERS OR CHASSIS
*KNOWLEDGE OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, A/C ISSUES AND TROUBLESHOOTING FUNDAMENTALS
*EXAMINE PARTS FOR DAMAGE OR EXCESSIVE WEAR
*WORK WELL ALONG SIDE FELLOW MECHANICS, OFFICE PERSONAL AND DRIVERS
THE PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THIS ROLE REQUIRE BENDING, SQUATTING, CROUCHING, REACHING, LIFTING 50 LBS OR MORE. WORKING INDOORS AND OUTDOORS WHEN REQUIRED BY THE JOB. SALARY: HOURLY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
