Job Description

Vaco Boston has partnered with a large and reputable technology manufacturer and they are looking to add a Cost Accountant to their team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze cost accounting data, including standard costs, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management
• Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. standard) and provide insights into cost drivers
• Partner with operations and engineering teams to understand and evaluate production costs and process efficiencies
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Maintain and improve cost accounting systems and controls
• Support internal and external audits related to inventory and costing
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the technology sector
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory management, and cost analysis
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
