• Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review financial statements, consolidated financial reporting, and reports for management.
• Completing financial analysis for variances, discrepancies, and identifying business drivers to make informed decisions.
• Prepare aging analysis to calculate liquidity, reserve modeling, and risk management.

• Serve as a point of contact for external auditors, facilitating audit processes and providing required documentation.
• Support internal audit activities and ensure adherence to internal controls.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of the financial statements and support financial planning and analysis, tax preparation, and operations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed.

• 3-5 years of experience working in public accounting and/or publicly traded organization(s).

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is a minimum educational requirement for this position and  cannot be waived.

• Additional certifications such as CPA, Series 3, Series 27 highly desirable
• Experience within the financial services industry, including but not limited to futures, commodities, broker-dealer.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite).
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
