About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead its investment team and oversee the management and strategic growth of retirement assets. The CIO will be responsible for leading the investment process, providing vision and oversight, and ensuring that the fund's long-term investment objectives are met with superior, but prudent, risk-adjusted returns. This role involves collaborating in the development of investment policy, managing external investment advisors, and leading the development of key fund performance indicators. The ideal candidate will have a proven history in creating or revising investment policies, be data-driven, and possess comprehensive expertise in all areas of asset allocation, including alternative investments. Candidates for the CIO position at the company should have a bachelor’s degree in finance or economics, with advanced academic credentials such as an MBA or CFA preferred. A minimum of ten years of relevant investment experience is required, with a strong background in alternative investments and experience in private equity. The role demands a responsive collaborator with strong follow-up skills, capable of presenting complex information in an easily understandable manner. The CIO will also be expected to foster effective relationships, both internally and externally, and lead succession planning efforts within the investment team.
