San Diego, California, United States Software and Services Description The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) is looking for a senior software engineer to join our team to work on AirPlay Audio. We are looking for expert developers that have debugged complex and layered software stacks. You will be curious, self-motivated, and thorough when you approach new challenges. As an engineer on our team, you will be responsible for crafting and implementing new features in AirPlay across our product lines. You will be able to collaborate effectively on a team and thrive in a dynamic, highly fluid environment. Minimum Qualifications Strong programming skills with C and/or C++ Experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment Experience with using and developing media libraries especially for mobile platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience with programming in Objective-C and/or Objective-C++ Experience in developing and maintaining an API for multiple clients Experience programming on embedded systems Familiarity with inner workings of media systems and audio/video codecs Familiarity with network media streaming protocols such as RTP and RTSP Familiarity with the TCP/IP suite of protocols An upbeat, adaptable, and results-oriented individual with a positive attitude At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
