Accounting Specialist

Reports to: Corporate Controller
Compensation: $45,000–$55,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

About the Company:
Manufacturing Company is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team following the departure of a key AR team member.

Role Overview:

The Accounting Specialist will primarily focus on Accounts Receivable , with additional responsibilities in Accounts Payable and RMA coordination . You'll work closely with Sales, Operations, and the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable

• Generate and distribute customer invoices

• Validate shipping documents and maintain billing records

• Support collections and respond to customer inquiries

• Coordinate RMAs with Sales and Shipping

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices and payments (check, ACH, wire)

• Match POs to invoices and ensure proper coding

• Assist with credit card reconciliation and employee expense reports

• Resolve vendor issues and maintain strong relationships

General Accounting

• Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and audits

• Cross-train on other accounting functions

• Help with process improvements and ERP efficiency

What We're Looking For:

• 3–5 years AP/AR or accounting experience (manufacturing a plus)

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred

• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts)

• ERP experience (Traverse Global a plus)

• Detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills
